Most of ODAAT's clients are funded by their local authorities to attend treatment; some, for a variety of reasons, can't get funding so ODAAT is able to offer bursary places to men who are motivated to do the programme but who can't get the funding. ODAAT can only do this because of the donations ODAAT receive from churches and individuals. The cost of the 6 month treatment and accommodation is roughly £10,000 per head.

The whole of the re-integration programme (post graduates or aftercare) is funded through donations. The 6 month residential element of the programme is a crucial foundation for recovering addicts, especially those with entrenched, long term problems, but it is still only a start. Typically recovering addicts are still especially vulnerable to relapse in their first two years. The re-integration work provides structure, support, volunteering opportunities and training and social and sporting activities in this time.
